Our Programs

1 Child. 1 Tree. 1 Book.

This flagship program ensures that every child plants a tree and receives a book, nurturing both a love for learning and a sense of responsibility for the environment. By linking reading with environmental action, children develop literacy skills while learning to care for the natural world that sustains them.

Fungua Kitabu Tusome Wote

Fungua Kitabu Tusome Wote (Open a Book, Let’s All Read) creates inclusive community reading clubs where children of all abilities come together to read, share stories, and learn. The program combines literacy with discussions on climate change, health, and resilience, helping children connect knowledge with everyday life.

Eco-Learning in Action

Eco-Learning in Action establishes school and community gardens where children learn sustainable farming, nutrition, and climate-smart practices. These gardens serve as outdoor classrooms, strengthening food security while teaching children practical skills for adapting to environmental change.

Read & Green Hub Project

The Read & Green Hub Project is an interactive learning programme where children come together in a classroom setting to explore environmental conservation and climate change. Through guided lessons, discussions, and shared learning experiences, students build a strong understanding of environmental issues and their role in protecting the planet. The project is enriched with practical activities such as tree planting, beach clean-ups, and nature walks, allowing children to connect what they learn in the classroom with real-life environmental action. By combining learning with experience, the project nurtures environmentally conscious children who are inspired to care for and protect their surroundings.
